At the Lockport creature feature last night from 8-11pm. Getting a few sauger but for some reason the jig crew felt that the water in front of me was the best so after a few snag ups (while one was unhooking the others still cast over only to hook on both lines!!) so i moved west far away from the rather slow fishing and the regular crossed lines and waded the area between the shoal and the tree. First cast a large sauger, second cast a cat. A little over 20"s but it fought very differently for a while I thought I had a "green back" walleye on. So that brings up the question: With all the hype at this time of year about the green back run are they a viable fly rod target on the Red? Will they come up to the lock/dam? What flys should i use? rb p.s.if it is any consolation....Rick i didn't catch a single Goldeye
