Hey all, It has been a long 9 months and finally, yes finally Jennifer popped. I can actually get back to fishing once in a while and start using all those flies I tied while sitting at home waiting. On Friday morning, Jaelynn Rae Rogowy was born and now that she is at home we are looking forward to many exciting times ahead. As I sat at the Women's Hospital next to Jennifer while in labor, I was reading "Fumbling with a Flyrod" by Ian Colin James. ;D ;D For those who haven't read it, it is a hilarious book full of fly fishing tales from Scotland and Canada (mainly). Anyways, I obviously took a break from reading when it was time for her to push but hey what can I say? Can't wait to get back out there to wet a line... Didn't someone warn me that once you are hooked on flyfishing there is no turning back? Here is a picture of me and my future fly fishing daughter (yes I am very tired in the shot after being there all night)... I think I will start teaching her how to cast next week... James.

congrats maw and paw ..... looks like Jaelynn has daddy right where she wants him .........
I mentioned to the wife (while holding 3yr old) - that it wasn't long ago he fit only the length of my fore arm ...... times fly, kids change fast (she liekly already has) - enjoy them.
And I don't think anyone (with any sort of sanity) would make any claim to laying out a warning of the addictions of fly fishing .......... no sane person about ......... none ............. ;D

in that case - with the kids' flying saucer, take a bit of a run, and sliiiiiiiiiiiiiddddeeeeee .............. ;D then once you've banged yourself up enuf, use the remaining ice to soothe your sores, and liquid malt pain killer to take the edge off ..........
naw - ice with snow packed in is no fun .... best to park it and ..... how's your fly boxes ?

Shes doing fantastic... growing faster than we can keep up.
Mom takes good care of her (I'm jealous)...
Fortunately I am a sound sleeper and dream through all of her night feedings. Everything is good. For the first time in a long time I am enjoying the comfort of our bedroom all to myself... (She sleeps with baby in the babyroom).
Can't wait till I can get her out for a cast or 2... James.

you're lucky ......... I guess ..... I got a cling-on now with K4 .... and I'm not such a sound sleeper ...... kid #3 - once home I had to sleep on the couch for a few weeks, arm over the side while he slept in the bassinette holding on to my finger ......... after that - he'd sleep in our bed - with mom only - wouldn't sleep with me there ....... dad's back on the couch .......... kid #4 - once home - had to sleep on dad's chest on the couch. We migrated to the bed, and eventually him to his crib. But even now at 16 mos., he wakes up around 2:30 to wake us - not even 5 seconds hard up against my chest - he's out. Enjoy it while you can ..... they grow up fast (just watch that post-partum depression with the wife ..... and being .... lulled into 'just one more ... they're sooooooo cute' ..... ) I figgure to make K3 a 7' 6" 3 or 4 wt Payne bamboo for next year. The 8ft 6 wt is a bit long for him ...........
