Off the Cuff - not likely - but off me grey matter ........... more less Pondering over the year while FFing, little diddies I've picked up or read here and there over time. You know - the ponderings while you're on water and the fish aren't to be found ....... here's more . . . - Getting skunked is sometimes a stroke of luck (especially after a previous outing with much success - keeps us humble) - Don't let a foul hook spoil a trip (leave it in your butt and keep FFing) take it out before you drive home though - When you find that you fouled your cast, take immediate steps to remove the hook from your partners ear which reminds me - barbless hooks too - Spend time alone on the water (and watch for bears) - Leave your fly-box open to change - A quiet fly tying area at home is not the kitchen table - In disagreements on FFing - have some pie - Share your knowledge - ok - I can't share much of that yet - but I'll tell ya what I know ......... shouldn't take long - Be gentle with the fish - you may catch it more than once - Once a year - FF a water you never have before - Be respectful of nature and other FF'ers (either one may dump you in the water) - Stop FFing, and look around you. Pay attention to what is there - you might be surprised - Keep a raisin pie handy at all times ok - gotta work on that one
