On your way home from an excursion... What are your suggestions?
Here's one to try on the way back from William Lake... Del Rios in Winkler - on Main St. just south of the high school - for very tasty Mexican grub. Please excuse my local bias. Believe it or not, Winkler has a large population of people who hail from Mexico.

thanks Dale - you tell me AFTER we get back ....
took a boo on the way back from William - all places in Morden and Winkler were full-up - waiting around 1/2 hr (too long for me tummy).
BUT - found 2nd best place for pizza (tops goes to Manos in Wasagaming) - Chicken Delight in Carman. mmmmmm-mmmm - kids were so stuffed almost had to carry them out.

Rob, Where is the Night HawK? When you come into the Whiteshell from #1 at the corner of that stretch and #44. 2nd best burger i have had here (get the Big Bruce and don't bother with the fries) The name is a ruse as they are never open at night (or off seasons or off days or when i forget to pack a lunch)

If you're ever in Boissevain, The restaurant side of the red coat in beside the co-op gas bar (my workplace) is owned by a greek couple. I'm friends with the owner, and they have an excellent greek menu along with other canadian and american food. If you like greek food or are even curious about it try it you won't be sorry. Try the chicken pita, it comes with a greek salad, or the kalamari, they're both excellent. Also there's a chinese restaurant called choy's in town. everybody that has ate there says it's the best chinese food around. I get a free meal there a few times a year because my parents and I go to lake of the prairies a few times and we bring back a couple carp. Carp is a delicacy with the chinese people and we sure don't walk out of there hungry when we bring them carp.

Coming back from the Whiteshell... try Jennifer's at Seven Sisters. Really good food... Try the goulash or the schnitzel, both are top notch!
