Does anybody out there have any experience with these. I reacently purchased a new 8-9 wt reel and didn't want to spool it with the old cheap stuff that I have on my old one. I do have a spare spool with this reel, so it is not the end of the world if the multi tip is not a good choice. For those that have used these, what are the pros and cons to these as well as who makes a good line like this.

Pros: 1 floater and 4 kinds of sink tip line for the price of 2 lines (this is a huge pro) Cons: not a full sink of any kind and some folks don't like the hinging efx For an 8 or 9 wt this is a good set up. If you have a second spool put a clear type II full sink line on it and you are good to go

If you're fishing mostly rivers, I think sink tips are the way to go. It's easier to follow your drifts and mend line with some line on the surface. If you're out on a lake, I think full sinkers do a better job. Although the sink tips would still get you down to some extent.
Nevertheless, even though I've used sink tips and full sinkers, I can't say I've ever used a multi-tip line.

Used my multi tip for the first time today. I like it so far. I found no problems casting with the joint in the middle, but was having problems when space was minimum. This is the only bad thing I can say about these. Can't really roll cast very well, and have to have the tip outside the guides to start with, so you are trying to manage a 15 foot line, plus leader in a small place. I highly recommend this as a system, five lines in one, and easy to change from floating to sinking.

I recently purchased the RIO WF multi sink tip fly line. I was wondering also if anyone else uses a similar system and what they think of it?
