I had this office chair that was in perfect shape except the material covering the back had come off and the bare wood was exposed. Looking at it was bugging the @#$# out of me, so I had a brainwave the other day.
I took a fishing vest that I don't use anymore and stapled it and pinned it to the back of the chair. I made sure I put the staples and pins in very discreet places (like inside pockets) so they aren't noticeable.
So now I have this chair that looks unique instead of broken. And I can even use the pockets to hold all my extra red pens. (Teachers can never have too many red pens.)
God, I feel like Martha Stewart... If I ever get around to it, I'll post a picture.

Figure a way to make a few and you have a little side gig going.

My husband always swipes my vest and uses it to pack emergency supplies for when he goes hunting or snowmobiling. If you go through the lake your gear goes with the sled unless it's on your body. The vest packs a lot close to the body where it won't get lost. For hunting, it's not bulky or noisy. I still use my grandfather's old vest. My "new" one is the one that is stolen for other seasonal uses. Erika
