Feel free to give advice, and help at anytime; I am also willing to take any new hazing and or grief along the way. ;D
I will be making my first trip to the great north of Manitoba the first week and 1/2 of July if anyone has anything or place that i should not miss lemme know.
Looking forward to being apart of your community

Glad you're here!!! Where exactly are you headed in Manitoba in July? Or maybe you don't have a spot completely picked yet?

Right now we are just trying to find lodging and good fishing holes around the area. We will be flying in on july 3 we will have 4 days before we will have to catch up with friends for a wedding party.
Then we have July 11-12 free as well. My wife's birthday is on july 6 so i was looking into staying at Elkhorn up in RIding National Park 5,6 of july.
Anyone else have suggestions of cool hotspots to stay for a couple nights around quality fishing spots?
any help is appreciated

There's lot of good trout lakes in the area of Riding Mountain but I don't know how well they would be fishing in the month of July. They are all listed in the Stocked Trout Water section of the regs. As far as I can tell from the chatter around here, Patterson and Twin have been pretty hot for the last couple years. There is also the Pine River which crosses #10 a couple hours north of Riding Mountain. It's a pretty little stream that's very productive for trout. Rob Burton, from the board here, swears by Grayling Lake (which is right in the park) for pike.

Welcome, lights you can come smallmouth bass fishing with me. July is my favourite month. Poppers work really good then. There's also Brown Trout in that lake and Rainbow Trout in a nother lake. But July's getting pretty warm for the trout. there's also a Pike lake right beside the bass and trout lake. You're guaranteed fish there as well as a few big ones, and another pike lake has really big ones 2 miles from my house. I live right on the us border in Boissevain 45 min south of brandon, about 2 hours and 15 min away from Riding Mountain. It's on your way up there. Let me know what you think. I'm on holidays then.
