Hi there. I moved to Calgary 10 years ago and saw some people fly fishing. I went home and told my wife I wanted to try it out. For my birthday she bought me a rod and reel ($35) and I began my NEW fishing obsession. Since then I have purchased several rods, reels, waders etc, and have tied flies for 9 years. I love the rivers out here (especially the bow) and have had oppertunities many times to fish at Nakoda lodge for monster trout. Have caught six pound largemouth in Duck lake bc, grayling in kananaskis country. Each summer I travel home for cheap g*lf,& trout and pike at my home lake (silver beach) This year i look forward to fishing patterson and maybe find some smallmouth or a stream that holds trout close to home. i love fishing for all kinds of fish and can't wait for the next time a fish bites my feather. I love the site and hope to see you on the water in friendly manitoba this summer.

Right on!!! You gotta love it if someone from the land of the Bow River comes to Manitoba and is excited about the flyfishing opportunities!!!
