Cane - you had asked about the Assiniboine west of St. F last night. I used to fish there years ago - catching drum, walleye, bullhead, cats, bass. This is about 10/15 minutes west of St. F on hwy 26 where the Baie St. Paul bridge for PR248 crosses. The same critters haunt the area now - although the walleye population has dwindled. Area dependant - some places would be wadeable (in mud mind-you) and and others not-so much. Another area to check out, would be around Beaudry park west of Headingly. Decent boulders about there would be hiding some pretty good critters.
The Assiniboine seems to be a .... ignored fishery by many (ok - me to lately). Gotta change that - my ignoring it that is.
